I brought my camera with me the other day for a long walk home, and captured this hydrangea at just the right time of evening. It was in a front yard on Union Street in Carroll Gardens. I love this green-gray with a little blue color combination.

it’s lovely.
The shades are beautiful. What else do you see on your walks?
Thanks Emmy! Hmmm, what do I see on my walks home. I walk through dumbo, then down court street though brooklyn heights, cobble hill, carroll gardens. Left on Union, over the Gowanus Canal, up hill to 6th Ave in Park Slope, then left to 12th Street.
So here’s what I usually see in this order:
Design people & fancy clothes
borough hall/court house, clothes fancy much less fancy
traffic, shops, traffic
pretty front lawns on Union in Carroll Gardens
murky water of the canal
industrial buildings
a very weirdly-placed Holiday Inn
a few trees
more trees, fancy clothes are back
babies, yoga studios, babies, dogs, babies
It’s the ultimate urban roller coaster. :)
amazing colors ….
Quite a walk, thanks.
Your photos are always lovely – I love looking at them all, what a great eye you have! Would you mind sharing what camera equipment you used? Do you take all your photos in natural light or use any studio lights for your paper works?
Thanks so much. I shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel, and I don’t have any studio lights, just light from the window (which I think is the best).
