I found a lonely box of metal type sitting on a cluttered table at a flea market in PA recently.  The seller didn’t seem to know what it was, so I bought it for $10 because I felt bad for it.  :)  If anyone would like it, just email me.  It’s an assorted box of dingbats and machinery symbols, about 30 pieces.

UPDATE:  Jessica Pigza, a research librarian at the NY Public Library, was the first taker.  So the type is on its way to her.  So happy to find a good home for it.  You can follow her at The Handmade Library, or check out her monthly Crafternoons at the library.  Happy printing Jessica!

The peak wedding season isn’t too far off, which means that bridesmaids everywhere are busy planning bridal showers.  For this very reason I have received a number of requests recently for bulk pricing on letterpress recipe cards.  I think this a great bridal shower item, you can send a few out to each of your guests and have them fill in some of their favorite recipes for the bride-to-be.  Another great part of this gift is that she’ll have her friends’ and family’s recipes in their own handwriting, something special these days.

You can find bulk packs of recipe cards in my Etsy shop, bon appetit!
