I’ve been off the radar all week, working on a very large business card job for one of my favorite companies, Etsy. The cards were designed in-house over at Etsy, and I love the knit pattern they created. With so many lines and details, it’s the perfect graphic for letterpress. I’ll be finished these in the next day or two, and will then be moving onto to a very special Fourth of July project. : )
these look fabulous. congrats on such a fun job!
Congratulations! That is so great.
A week to do that? Blimey, you’re a fast mover.
Hi!
very nice pattern indeed! did you print/emboss this pattern with your heidelberger? how do you manage to get this really accentuated letterpress-look? letterpressed goods here in germany look less accentuated. do you use some kind of soft backing (felt?) behind the paper?
Greetings from Germany!
Yes, I print everything on my Heidelberg. There are various ways of increasing the impression, depending on the press, but it also helps to experiment with the tympan to discover which paper or backing achieves the right result. Thanks for checking in from Germany…the birthplace of the Heidelberg! : )
These are gorgeous. What fortune to work for Etsy. you have surely done them proud with these cards.
These look AWESOME! Shouldn’t hurt your business, either =)
